If she had better lawyers; she'd have been able to do both


It ridiculous that she can't perform her own songs whenever she wants to. Its not as if the folks who bought the rights are losing any value from her performing the songs they own on national television.

Without knowing or really caring about the details; sounds like a crappy deal. Now does the crappiness of the deal have anything to do with private equity or men vs. women power dynamics ... no idea.

The recording industry is full of stories of men who clashed with record executives (Tom Petty comes to mind).
